Employers organisations with the focus on industry

Industriarbetsgivarna is a service company for the Steel and Metal Employers Association, SveMin and SVEMEK. We specialise in employers' issues and support our member companies in questions that concern the relationship between employer and employees. The Mining Employers Association is part of SveMin, which also works on industry issues for mines and mineral and metal producers.

Industriarbetsgivarna's associations have 640 member companies with about 51.000 employees. The organisations in Industriarbetsgivarna collaborate on questions concerning service for their member companies, such as legal advice, negotiations with trade unions, expert support, help desk and courses and training tailored to industrial companies. We negotiate on pay and general conditions for collective agreements for our member companies.

We also offer ongoing advice on laws and agreements as well as investigative and development work. We help member companies with negotiations, and with legal assistance in court proceedings, as well as organising courses and conferences. Our work is designed to make life easier for the companies, so that they can concentrate on their core activities.
In those areas where the associations collaborate and act jointly, this is done under the name Industriarbetsgivarna. Collective agreement negotiations, which are at the heart of the employers organisations' activities, are handled by the individual employers associations.

Our three associations

The Steel and Metal Employers Association (Stål och Metall Arbetsgivareförbundet) is an employers association with 200 member companies with 40,000 employees. Its members are companies involved in manufacturing and processing steel and metal products.

SVEMEK is an employers and industry association. SVEMEK has 400 member companies with 6,500 employees. Member companies are steel and machine builders, machine hire companies, mechanical workshops, industry service companies and lock and security companies.

SveMin is an employers and industry association for mines and mineral and metal producers in Sweden. SveMin has about 40 member companies with 6,000 employees. The Mining Employers Association (Gruvornas Arbetsgivareförbund or GAF) is part of SveMin. GAF concludes agreements with counter parties for the mining industry.
