Every three years the Strategic Research and Innovation Roadmap for the Swedish mining, mineral and metal producing industry is updated. Now it is time again, and you are invited!

>> Update 2021-12-09: Due to new restrictions, the workshops will be held in Zoom!

The roadmap is important for the industry and for the mining cluster. Its aim is to present the vision and describe the challenges, objectives and activities that are relevant in the area of research and innovation. The overall goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of the sustainable and responsible mineral and metal-producing industry in Sweden, and to describe the necessary actions related to research and innovation.

We are asking for your expertise

Swedish Mining Innovation and Svemin invites you to participate in nine different workshops covering different areas of research and innovation. The workshops will take place over two weeks in January 2022 in Zoom.

The purpose of the workshops is to secure an open and inclusive process for the specific research and innovation areas, and to gather relevant actors for in-deep discussions and a common view of the respective areas. We would like your expertise and knowledge in the different areas in order to develop a roadmap that presents the mining industry’s high ambitions and defines the road forward and the research and innovation actions needed to meet the vision.

The discussion for all workshops will be centered around:

  • What should remain in the previous version of the roadmap and what should be removed, added or changed? Are there gaps?
  • What are the necessary goals and actions for the specific R&I area on long, medium, and short term?
  • What is the expected impact of these actions?

Nine workshops covering different topics

Below you find information about each workshop. It is possible to attend one or more workshops. We urge you to participate in the workshops where your knowledge can contribute the most.

Each workshop will be three hours long and led by Malin Johansson from Paues Åberg Communications. Each discussion will be guided by one or several representatives from the academy or industry.

All workshops will take place in Zoom. A link will be sent out to the specific workshop a few days before.

Welcome!
Jenny Greberg, Programme Director Swedish Mining Innovation, and
Katarina Nilsson, Expert Research and Innovation Svemin
